What Lives in the Dark

Alyssa Gold thought she knew what her life was and was going to be: senior year with her best friend, then college, and then whatever life she can make for herself in the real world. She soon finds out, however, that nothing is as it seems. Her family has been lying to her. She can't trust anyone she always thought she could. Then, a mysterious stranger, Seely, turns the rest of her world upside down when he whisks her away to the world of Undead creatures and a secret organization that is sworn to fight against them. Alyssa goes on a journey against the creatures of the night that want her dead, to come to terms with the lies of her family, and find a love that she can choose for herself. But the things that live in the dark include lies that threaten to tear apart everything she has left.
